Meet Chris
Over a decade ago, my wife Amy and I chose to raise our daughters, Megan and Madison, in Issaquah because it offered the perfect balance—a welcoming small-town atmosphere with the amenities of a larger city. With excellent schools, beautiful parks, safe neighborhoods, natural outdoor beauty, and easy access to the region, Issaquah was exactly the kind of community we wanted to call home.
Today, I’m running for Issaquah City Council to help preserve what makes our city special while ensuring it continues to grow in a smart, sustainable, and inclusive way. I want Issaquah to remain a place where families thrive, residents feel safe and heard, local businesses succeed, and future generations can flourish.
Priorities
A strong community is built on a foundation of quality of life and public safety, supported by efficient traffic and mobility, and a thriving business development environment. Investing in these areas creates a community where businesses want to locate and grow, and where residents can thrive.
-
The City of Issaquah is committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for all its residents. As a member of the City Council, I will support and advocate for policies and initiatives that not only preserve this standard but actively work to improve it—ensuring Issaquah remains a vibrant, inclusive, and thriving community for everyone.
-
The City of Issaquah has shown its commitment to public safety and preparedness through thoughtful resource allocation, strategic planning, and active community engagement. As a Councilmember, I will strongly support and advocate for initiatives that continue to keep Issaquah safe and ensure we are even better prepared for the challenges ahead.
-
Traffic and mobility are essential to Issaquah’s economic vitality and the overall quality of life for our residents. In recent community survey results, residents made it clear: addressing traffic and improving mobility must be a top priority. On Council, I will work to ensure that our transportation policies reflect the community’s needs—supporting smart, sustainable solutions that ease congestion and improve daily life.
-
Issaquah recognizes the vital role that business development plays in building a vibrant and prosperous community. As a Councilmember, I will strongly support initiatives and programs that promote economic vitality—focusing on retaining existing businesses, fostering smart development, and attracting new opportunities that align with our community values.
